Steve Krikorian - captain of Black.
Steve is the all time leading scorer in our league having amassed over 7,000 points in his career.
Steve was the exception in that while he was already an all-star, he continued to get better each season throughout his forties. While a solid player in all aspects of the game, his leadership abilities may be his strongest asset. The league hopes he is back soon from his off season shoulder surgery. He also holds the league record for career shots attempted.
Jim Furlong - captain of Gold
Jim shook things up this year - with his roster and at the draft. A fresh look has got him very optimistic about where his team is going this year. Jim is the floor leader, controlling the ball offensively and forever looking for the "outlet". Another smart guy who keeps himself in great shape, Jim hopes to be holding a trophy over his head at the end of the season and shouting "I shook up the world!"
Steve Crouse - captain of White
Steve admirably stepped up when the league needed one more captain this year. He is a big guy with a soft touch from mid-range. Steve has played in the league for many years, taking off a few years in between for posterity. He dates back to the old time White teams that featured the likes of Bob Bellew, Kevin McCarthy, Mal Hope, and Billy Parent. A forgotten era in White's history that Steve hopes not to duplicate.
Chris Hunt - captain of Maroon
One of the nicest guys in the league, Chris is also one of the best players. He is a player with good size who blocks a lot of shots as well as drains a lot of three pointers. Easy going, you always see a smile on his face - and what's not to smile about - he plays on Maroon!
Al Smith - captain of Green
A devastating mix of inside-outside, Al is a complete player. Trying to bring the perennial loser Green team to respectability, he replaces the old captain as the face of the franchise. Under his new leadership, Al was able to attract some high level talent to the team and they are looking like the favorites to become champions. To do this, they will definitely need Al to stay healthy - or close to it.
Charlie Sullivan - captain of Blue
Captain of the defending champions, Charlie took his lumps in his first draft experience this year. The result is Charlie has been playing out of position and his team has struggled out of the gate. Charlie is capable of raining threes, driving the lane, and playing good defense on both big players and guards. He can play any position well and it is likely that the ship will be righted before long - assuming the "poor man's big three" can live up to its over-hyped mediocre status.
Joe Devereaux - captain of Red
Joe may be in the best shape of anyone in the league. When he's not climbing mountains, running double marathons, or biking from state to state - you just might find him on the basketball court. Chances are he'll be the last one leaving the court. His prolific scoring is equaled, if not surpassed, by his punishing defense. A "figure head" captain, he prefers to just play the game and leave the strategies to those more qualified.
Don Hook - captain of Grey
A multi-time league MVP, this mountain of manhood gives any team a legitimate chance to win a championship. His perennial championships upon entering the league forced the league to break up his dynasty in the interest of fair play. He is not just a big man but also has the skill set to make him a force on the court. Add in his basketball smarts and you've got a tough assignment trying to beat his team.
